Sometimes a sort of optimistic wave washes over me and I access memories of factoids of writers beginning their creative explosions in their fifties. Is it that a lifetime of observation and sometimes timid but other times possessed effort worth describing? tbd
RE: Simone In a world where the virus didn't shutdown, postpone and in every other way disrupt every part of everyone's lives, and in a world where a man wasn't executed on video seemingly for no reason again, in a slow news year this wouldn't have happened. Simone is a powerhouse of an athlete, and the only way you get to that level is to be a machine of preparation. Somebody who trains to an insane schedule and extent. Anyway, it's great that she got to the ceremony and there's no need for her to endanger herself to prove anything. To be honest, I like it when there's adversity for the American teams, any of them. Not wishing them harm, but I think in a sort of Apollo 13 way it draws us together. We should really rally around her. She handled it well anyway, on a world stage, the pressure grinding her. Cheers to silver and to personal contributions to team goals. For the team.
